Katherine Arden is a celebrated author known for her captivating storytelling and imagined worlds, particularly showcased in her Winternight trilogy set in medieval Russia. With a background in Russian and French literature, Arden seamlessly blends folklore, history, and fantasy into her tales, earning her widespread acclaim and a dedicated readership.
The
book “Dead Voices” is a thriller sequel of “Small Spaces” both written by
Katherine Arden. The story follows the adventure of Ollie, Coco, and Brian as
they take a trip to the isolated Mount Hemlock Resort for a ski trop. Turns out
that their vacations quickly take a sinister turn when a snowstorm traps them
in the resort, along with other guests who seem to vanish without a trace. They
eventually uncover the dark history of the resort and make some encounters they
wish they hadn’t. The trio must rely on each other to survive and confront
their deepest fears. I think it’s a great book and that Katherine Arden made it
very smooth. The fact that there is suspense during all the book makes it even
more thrilling.
